My daughters and I ("Dr. Uke and Daughters") will be participating in a concert with two other ukulele groups at Sheffield Town Park, on Saturday, September 21, 2013. The other groups that are performing are the "Ladies Auxiliary Ukulele Orchestra" and the "New England Ukulele Ensemble." The concert is called the "Uke 'n' Brew" because it showcases two Sheffield businesses. These are the "Magic Fluke Company," makers of the wonderful, and very popular Flukes, Fleas, and Fireflies (the Uke), and "Big Elm Brewing" (the Brew).
If you plan to attend this exciting event, I encourage you to visit the Magic Fluke Company before the concert. Phyllis will be there from 10am to 1pm to welcome you to the facility at 292 South Main Street, Sheffield, which is only 1 1/2 miles from the concert venue. This is your opportunity to "play 2 ukes with 1 strum" (kill 2 birds with 1 stone—get it?).
A first time event.
