THE GLASTONBURY UKULELE BAND

The Glastonbury Ukulele Band consists of “ukers” of all ages, from Glastonbury and surrounding towns. Led by Doctor Uke, members include a retired chemist from the NIH, a former prison guard and NYFD member, engineers, a dermatologist, several sixth and seventh graders, and others. We play popular singalongs from many eras for parties, fund raisers, retirement communities and basically any place people want to sing those great songs. Audiences have enjoyed singing typical ukulele fare like “You Are My Sunshine” and “Five Foot Two.” Other songs are less readily associated with the ukulele, such as “Crocodile Rock,” “Why Do Fools Fall In Love,” and “Try a Little Tenderness.”

Other examples of our songs:
Sentimental Journey
Side By Side
I’m Sitting On Top of the World
Yes Sir, That’s My Baby
Mairzydoats
For Me and My Gal
I’m Looking Over a Four-Leaf Clover
There Is a Tavern In the Town
When Irish Eyes Are Smiling
My Blue Heaven
This Land Is Your Land
Yankee Doodle Dandy

We provide master songsheets so that copies can be made, and everybody can sing every word of every song. We have our own sound system, and require only an electrical outlet.
